Into the Killer Sphere among the 50 Indie books worth reading

Into the Killer Sphere is officially among the 50 Indie books worth reading for Indie Author Land!

I’m very happy to announce that Indie Author Land has finally chosen my cozy mystery novella Into the Killer Sphere as one of the fifty Indie books worth reading in 2013/2014.

As you can see, the Indie Author Land editors put Into the Killer Sphere cover also on the main promotional image and this is a plus motive of happiness and proud for me.

It’s such a big joy to me and I want to share with you this success.
Many readers of the Chase Williams detective stories voted on Indie Author Land website to express their support to my mystery story. Without their votes and support nothing would have happened, as Indie Author Land took seriously into account all the votes received while choosing its 50 books worth reading.

So, if you’re a Chase Williams reader and you voted… thank you :)

I’ve always thought that Into the Killer Sphere is actually a book worth reading, but I’ve never thought that I would receive a nomination that attested it!

What’s next?

Pull The Trigger (hopefully another book worth reading) is on my editor’s operating table. But there’s also someone who ended up on an operating table, sadly a hospital one.

This is Renato Rengoni’s abdomen after being shot while training at Monte Priore, Tursenia. On the picture you can see the trajectory of the bullet that hit him.

Spoiler alert: the poor Renato didn’t make it, and he’s not the only one.
Someone in Tursenia is shooting people with apparently no reasons.

Any idea about the nature of the shooter? A madman, a serial killer, a bored person?
A penny for your thoughts, comment above!

Into The Killer Sphere, a cozy mystery novella

It’s been the maid, in the garden, with the sphere. Or maybe not.
A classic cozy mystery novella set in a classic Italian villa.

The more you strive for a few days of holiday, the more troubles you’re involved in. That must be Chase Williams’s thoughts when Inspector Angelo Alunni of Tursenia Police called him out to solve a murder mystery.

Chase is looking forward to a solitary week off when a domestic accident at Galli’s villa all of a sudden turns into a murder case.

Piero Galli died after a chandelier fell on him, breaking his neck. Too easy not to be a murder, Inspector Alunni can swear on that.

Chase eventually ends up in a detective story with clear notes of the classic cozy mystery novellas. Was it the strange maid, in the garden with the sphere, or maybe the authoritative mother, in the kitchen with the knife? Every character involved with Piero Galli has a solid motive for murder.

Just like the most traditional Cluedo board game, Chase and Angelo have to guess the killer by following clues that are often hidden in the tiniest detail.

Betrayals, drugs, love and money embrace the calm and serene atmosphere of the seemingly harmless Tursenia, a city where appearances always come first, especially if you are wealthy like the Gallis.

Into the Killer Sphere is a cozy mystery novella that challenges your intuitive and detective skills, with a note of Italian humour. Will Chase take down the assassin before there are more deaths?

Cutting Right To The Chase Vol.1, detective short stories

He looks like a normal dude, but he’s not.
Let me tell you his detective short stories in under 1000 words.

What if you are an ex British detective stuck in a stunning medieval Italian city? Ask Chase Williams – he will tell you many stories about his life in Tursenia.

He wanted a life changing scenario, so after he quit Scotland Yard he landed in beautiful Tursenia, a sunny Etruscan city in the heart of Italy. Despite Chase’s promise of not being involved in any crime scenes anymore, he always ends up dealing with minor offences and everyday crimes and mysteries happening just around the corner, where you may think nothing dark could ever occur.

In this first, tiny volume of the detective short stories series, Chase stumbles upon many minor and baffling offences that you might otherwise have missed. However, Chase’s investigative eye never sleeps.

Chase accompanies his childhood friend Inspector Angelo Alunni into a strange police adventure, and you will also meet some of the traditional Italian characters that populate Chase’s neighbourhood.

Chase’s six short stories all under 1000 words in length drag you into the coloured and mysterious world of Tursenia. These are detective short stories that will make you crave the rest of the series.
